Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and community-oriented Public Relations Specialist to join our incredible team. This role is integral to expanding our brand presence, fostering relationships within the community, and increasing access to functional medicine care. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and executing both internal and external events, managing our podcast guest bookings and schedules, creating community brand awareness, and organizing charity fundraisers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Planning & Execution:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute internal and external events, including health seminars, community outreach programs, and educational workshops.
- Manage all event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure event goals align with the company’s mission and values.
- Podcast Management:
- Identify, research, and secure high-quality guests for the Functional Medicine Foundations podcast.
- Coordinate recording sessions, manage release schedules, and oversee the promotion of podcast episodes.
- Work closely with the podcast host to ensure content aligns with our brand and engages our audience.
- Community Engagement & Brand Awareness:
- Develop and implement community outreach strategies to enhance brand visibility and foster strong relationships with local organizations and stakeholders.
- Represent Functional Medicine of Idaho at community events, health fairs, and other public engagements.
- Create and manage social media campaigns, press releases, and other marketing materials to build brand awareness.
- Charity Fundraisers:
- Plan, organize, and execute charity fundraisers to support community health initiatives and increase access to functional medicine care.
- Collaborate with local businesses, non-profits, and community leaders to secure partnerships and sponsorships for events.
- Manage fundraising budgets, track donations, and report on the success of each event.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. (Preferred, not required)
- 2+ years of experience in public relations, event planning, or a related role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Passion for serving the community and advocating for functional medicine care.
- Experience with social media management and digital marketing is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed.
